Education Program

POSITION Travel Fund and joint education programs with universities aim to establish various opportunities for young learners.

Southeast University + POSITION: Chinese Historic Architecture Research Camp

It is a journey to explore the ancient architectural sites in Northern China. In this camp, students will gain an understanding of the design principles, technical characteristics, and aesthetic interests of Chinese classical architecture through field surveying and mapping.

Southeast University + POSITION: Thailand Chao Phraya River Watershed Historic Town and Architecture Research Camp

The Thailand Chao Phraya River Watershed Historic Town and Architecture Research Camp, titled "Watershed: the Carrier of a Civilization" expanded the scope of research to Southeast Asia. It meticulously selected historic towns and buildings, along with contemporary practice cases in the Chao Phraya River Basin. The camp encompassed field surveys, on-site instruction, group discussions, Q&A sessions, and other diverse teaching methods, as well as special academic lectures delivered by scholars from China and abroad in various fields. Students were immersed in the Chao Phraya River Basin, an exemplary region to explore the history of Southeast Asia.

Southeast University + POSITION: Countryside as a Sample of Construction Wisdom Research Camp

The camp was held in the heart of Zhejiang Province, where mountains, basins, and rivers intertwine. The traditional villages nestled within this mountainous terrain and along the waterways are a testament to the holistic wisdom of construction—from Feng Shui principles and business positioning to climate resilience and sustainable resource management, encompassing site selection and the initiation of construction, to the craftsmanship involved. These villages are not only historical and cultural sites but also exemplary models of mountainous habitation in the Jiangnan region. In recent years, contemporary architects in Songyang have elevated the international profile of rural development in China.
