The Story

Upon reviewing Le Corbusier's classics and situating him within a specific historical context and environment, we can gain insight into the true image of Le Corbusier. We see how he responded to the demands of his era, remained steadfast in his convictions, and gradually underwent transformation. These are precisely the lessons that every architect should learn.

The tour integrates research findings from architects and scholars such as Huang Juzheng, Liu Dongyang, Jin Qiuye, and Wang Hui. The tour features a total of 24 works that span every phase of Le Corbusier's life. We are able to view not only the first house he designed at the age of 17 but also later significant works like Le Cabanon, La Tombe de Monsieur et Madame Le Corbusier, Villa Savoye, La Chapelle de Ronchamp, Unite d'Habitation, and the Convent of La Tourette. Throughout the journey, each pivotal moment in Le Corbusier's career is clearly presented.
